| "Now that you've come into contact with the law, you've found out the
dirty little secret. Anyone drinking and driving is subject to
arrest, whether or not it was affecting their driving ability. But being
arrested does not mean you will be convicted."
|
Survival Tips:
- Do not answer any questions about whether you've been drinking alcohol and
- request to speak with an attorney.
- Do not agree to perform roadside tests.
- Do not agree to have your eyes tested.
- Unless you can answer TRUE to ALL of the following questions, politely
- DECLINE any Blood, breath, or urine test
- a. I am a Georgia licensee, 21 years old or older; AND
- b. I was not involved in an accident involving death or serious injury to
- ANYBODY, even my passengers or friends; AND
- c. I was not driving a commercial truck; AND
- d. No matter where I have a license, I have had no prior drunk driving
- convictions or deferred pleas for DUI/DWI in ANY state within 5 years (from
- the former arrest date until now).
- e. Only if you answered TRUE to ALL 4 points just above should you then submit to
- police testing and then demand BOTH a private (a) blood test at a hospital
